Make Up Institute is one of the leading makeup schools in Europe. Students from all over Europe and Scandinavia comes here to be educated to Master Makeup Artists & Hairstylists. The school is locataed in Stockholm, Sweden.

Make Up Institute can organize accomodation to students who is not from Stockholm if needed (limited places).

The education plan has been created from the experience of the world leading makeup artists. It prepares the students for the tough demands that are required in the professional sphere.

We recommends that the students are practicing on models because they shall train on a lot of different face structures. Finding a model for practice is not a problem but in case you cannot find one by yourself we have a register of models that you can use free of charge. 

The school's education plan, the number of teachers/ assistants and our appropriate premises define to the large extent of our school's quality. Make Up Institute accept maximum 40 students every school term. Premises are on approximately 350 kvm inclusive a modern equipped studio with experienced photographers that stands to have at one ' s disposal for our students.

Two big influences concerning the quality of the education we provide are how many teachers are present at lessons and the generous floor space at the school. Make Up Institutes total floor space is about 3 000 square feet. This includes a photography studio with rented photographers provided for our students.

portfolio

During the last week of the education the students take their final exam. During one week the students will do makeup and style 4-5 models. A photographer will shoot 80-100 digital pictures which the students can  implement in their personal presentation. Moreover the students will get an professional portfolio. This portofolio (also called Workbook) are the makeup artist´s   presentation at job interviews.

basic make up

This category includes natural makeup, party makeup and bride makeup. Another area is medical makeup to cover scares, burns etc.

theatre and stage make up

Theatre and stage makeup is being used in theatre shows, ballet and at the opera. The makeup artist fantasy and skills are used to create the desired character. In this category body- and clown makeup can be used. You could work with producers, directors, theatres and operas.

make up and advisory for cosmetic companies

When working as a representative for an cosmetic company all the categories of beauty make up can be used and should be mastered. Demonstration and advisory for the stores clients, different representations and as a part of professional fairs is a part of the make up artists work.
