Shaul Moalem was born and grown up in Israel. In an early age, he started working for his father, who owned a wholesale dealing company, and then continued working in various professions until 1986. Then, he came in contact with Mula Art Of Make Up Center in Tel Aviv, a known make up school in Isreal. He was examinated as a professional make up artist in 1987.

During many years since then, Shaul Moalem worked as a freelancer make up artist in several countries, such as USA, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and Israel. He was hired primarily for work within advertisement for big mode magazines, newspapers, TV-companies, video and CD production, mode shows, movies and theatre.

1989 Shaul Moalem worked as a teacher at Art Of Make Up Center in Tel Aviv, Israel.
1990-1992 He worked as a senior master at Art Of Make Up Center in Tel Aviv, Israel.
1992-1994 He worked as a senior makeup artist for the cosmetics company Nature Life.
In 1993 Shaul Moalem took an exam as Master makeup artist in fashion ”Giora Shavit”, Israel.
In 1994 he moved to Sweden. Since then, he held courses and acted as an advisor for various cosmetics companies. He took part in different TV-shows as an expert guest and a make up artist.
In 1996 Shaul Moalem took an exam as Master Make Up Artist in Special Effects at Yarin Shahaf, Israel.
In 1997 Shaul Moalem established the Make Up Institute. He works as a senior master and, along with his co-workers, he educates the new talents within the makeup art.
Make Up Institute has taken part in The Water Festival 1997, 1998 and 1999, Hair & Beauty Fair, Arvika Festival, Miss Sweden contest, Stockholm’s 750 years anniversary, various education fairs around Sweden, a range of film festivals and more. Make Up Institute cooperates with numerous companies, schools and institutes around the world.
In 2001 Shaul Moalem was nomineted to ”WHO´S WHO Historical Society”. “WHO´S WHO Historical Society” is the "Gold book" which was grounded at 1928. It names the most important people, leaders of diffrent professions and countries. To be nominated to this list is recognation and appriciation to work and affort which those people have done in their life. It is a big honor for it self.
2002 Shaul Moalem had been graduated as 3-dimensional make up artist at The Technical University of Berlin.

Furthermore, Shaul Moalem participates as an examinator at Yarin Shahaf Makeup School of Tel Aviv, Biruta Mageles, Latvia, and Giora Shavit - Israel.
